In the initial 3 years of their graduate school Knight-Hennessy students receive a variety of kinds of grants:
A fellowship is a direct application to pay for tuition and related charges.
A small amount to help with the cost of living and for academic costs (such as accommodation and board books, school supplies and educational material, transportation to local schools, and other reasonable personal costs)
A stipend for travel that is intended to pay for an economy class ticket for one trip per year to and back to Stanford
